[edit] Procedure

The back left corner student in rows of desks is student A. The student in front of student A, in the next row, is student B.

  1. A moves up one row and stands beside B who also stands up in place.
  2. (Teacher?) asks the practise question.
  3. First student to answer, student A or B, is the winner. The winner moves up to the desk in front [front of the classroom? or one row up from his current position?] (ready for the next question) [Teacher will ask Winner + new partner next question?].
  4. The loser sits down in where he now is (leaving his original desk empty [unless loser is student B? hence remaining in his original desk?]).

With the winners progressing towards the front and the loser sitting in his losing position, kids all end up in different seats -- hence going "Around the World".
