[edit] Browse by category

<- The left sidebar shows Wikigogy's main topic categories.

All categories lists all our categories alphabetically.

The (more teach) and (more job) links are top level categories.

If you want something specific, try some Keywords in the Search box.

[edit] Add page (to a category)

To add a page to a category, add that category's tag to the bottom of that page:

[[Category:Teach]]
[[Category:Speak]]
[[Category:Grammar]]
  1. go to the page that you want to add to the category
  2. click the page's edit tab
  3. type the category's tag, e.g. [[Category:Example]], at the bottom of the page
  4. click Save

A link to the category will appear at the page's bottom and the page will appear in that category. Put as many category tags at page bottom as are appropriate for the page; the page will appear in all of those.

[edit] Link only

If you want to put a link to a category in a page's text, start with a colon, e.g. [[:Category:Example]]. It will appear in text where you type it instead of page bottom and will not cause the page to be listed in the category.

[edit] Standard category

The left sidebar shows our standard categories. Visit each to learn about it.

More people will find your pages if you categorize them using the scheme at left.

Suggest new categories on the talk page if you feel something is missing; note that our space in the left sidebar is limited.

[edit] Other category

You may create other reasonable categories. Please follow Wikigogy's naming conventions.

A new category may be created by simply putting a link to the new category at the bottom of a page that should be listed in it. The link both causes the category to exist and causes the page to be listed in it. Please put a brief explanation of what the category is for at the top of the category's page by clicking its edit tab.

More people will find your non-standard category if you make it a sub-category of one of the standard categories in the left sidebar. Sub-categories are listed on a parent category page automatically when you put a link to the parent category on the sub-category's page. Same as with ordinary pages, click the sub-category page's edit tab, add a link to the parent category, e.g. [[Category:Example]], and click Save. A sub-category may have as many parent categories as is reasonable, just like an ordinary page can.
