[edit] Get involved

Wikigogy is a place for teachers of English as a second or foreign language to write (here's how) and freely share lesson plans and teaching ideas

  • Anyone can edit the pages -- click a page's edit tab.
  • If you don't want to change a page because you feel you might be changing its original intent, start a new page instead.
  • If you copy text into one page from another, please say so in the edit Summary field of the edit box on the destination page and include a link to the source page there. This helps honor the site licenses' attribution clause. Better also copy the names from the bottom of the source page and paste them into a note on the destination page's talk page and include in the note a link to the edit's diff. (Use {{helpme}} to ask for help if you don't know how.)
  • The Recent change page, linked under community in the left column, shows what has been worked on recently.
  • The Want page is a place to say what you want on Wikigogy; ask and someone may provide.
  • Create a page and start writing your TEFL/TESL stuff, tips, whatever is relevant to your teaching and potentially useful to others.
  • Goals and non-goals show what we do and don't want.

[edit] User

Create a free User account to have

  • your own user page
  • your contributions show your name as a link to your user page (as long as you log in before editing pages)

Username can be whatever is appropriate and available. Try your firstname. Put your full name in your user preferences if you are comfortable with that. We are all people. Wikigogy is not for private content; please be your real public professional self.

[edit] Connect

  • Is something missing? Start a page on it and others will help write it! Show you were here.
  • Introduce yourself on your user page (it's linked to in your by line on every page you edit while logged in)
  • Introduce your school on a School page
  • Introduce your local city, state, province or country on a Local page (and link between it and your Wikigogy user page)
  • Authors are linked to in the by line at bottom of every page

When you edit a page, your browser can work as a spell checker. Use British or American spelling but don't convert pages from one to the other unless you are otherwise editing the page. This policy is discussed at spell.
