If you create a user account (use your first name if you like and it's available) and log in,

you'll have:

• User page and User talk page
• Watchlist to help you keep track of changes on pages you care about
• Preferences, such as edit box height, Recent change page defaults, etc
• Email this user link in the toolbox on your User page. If you put a valid email address in your user preferences then you have the option of emailing to and accepting emails from other users who also choose this option (set it in your Preferences)
• Your edits link to your User page (via an attribution link at page bottom and in Recent change and page history)
• Your edits listed in your my contributions (link on top right of page)
• --~~~~ short hand for signing pages
