If you create a User account

  • you will have your own user page, a friendly place to introduce yourself to others and create links to pages you often use. To go to your user page, log in and click your username at top right
  • your contributions will show your name as a link to your user page (as long as you log in before editing pages), and you can sign talk pages with ~~~~ and it will turn into a link to your user page.

Username may be whatever you like that is still available; try your firstname. Put your full name in your user preferences if you are comfortable with that. Welcome to be your public professional self here.

Wikigogy, including User pages, is a public website. Wikigogy is not a place for private content. It is all, including User pages, licensed for reuse elsewhere and may well appear elsewhere (that is the point of free culture and part of Wikigogy's mission).

Each user is the primary editor of his own user page. However, anyone may remove content that falls outside our site mission from any part of Wikigogy, including any user page. Please leave a helpful comment in the edit summary if you do this.

[edit] Appropriate uses of User pages

Appropriate uses of your user page include:

  • Self introduction
  • Links to pages you started or are interested in
  • Links to User:Username/Subpages are okay for mission appropriate stuff that for the moment you want to remain chief editor of. In general however please keep content in the main namespace.
  • A small number of external links, perhaps not more than 7, to related projects you are involved in or like are welcome on your User page, to help others understand your affiliations and interests.
