From Wikigogy

[edit] Excel files?

Hi there. I would like to upload some .xls files for download from the Global inequality game page I've just created but I'm told .xls files are not permitted for upload. Any chance of changing this? I'm sure many other such lesson activites will use Excel files in the future too. For now I'm linking to another site for download. Cheers, Bobo12345 06:31, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I uploaded them, but they are listed as an image, which is a bit odd. Is there a Document: namespace or anything like that? Bobo12345 07:03, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Nope, that's where all file uploads go. I agree that it is confusing. It is the default way MediaWiki installs. Unfortunately I don't have time to change it right now. So I have just now added a All uploads live in Image: namespace whether or not they are images note to the File upload page. I hope that helps. Thanks for the feedback. Hi Bobo12345, I want to give you a personal heart felt welcome to Wikigogy! Thanks for the lessons you have contributed, with stylish graphics too! I have moved the lessons slightly so that they follow the naming conventions we are following on Wikigogy (lowercase second and subsequent words except proper nouns, in page-, heading- and category- names). Please forgive me if this looks strange at first. Over time I believe it will begin to look natural. Thank you for all the great work you are doing here on Wikigogy!
