[edit] Policies
[edit] Goals and non-goals
Goals and non-goals explains things we can do to achieve our site mission, and some things not to do.
[edit] Copyleft
Our copyright policy is designed to promote copying our material, collaboration on our material and efficient commercial and non-commercial dissemination of knowledge.
If you see anything that you believe has been copied here from a copyrighted source without permission please tag it {{copyvio}} (copyright violation) and put a comment on the page's Talk page including what page of what book or other copyrighted resource you believe it was copied from.
Note that facts and ideas are not copyrightable. Particular original expression is copyrightable.
Copyrights are explained further on the Copyleft page.
[edit] Neutral tone
Use a neutral tone. People may strongly disagree about things on Wikigogy. It is alright to do so in non-emotional and courteous tone.
If you find a page violates this policy,
- edit the page to correct it, or
- label the non-neutral part of the page with the neutral tone violation tag {{ntvio}} and put a comment on the page's Talk page.
[edit] Privacy policy
Wikigogy is a PUBLIC SITE. Do not put anything private on Wikigogy, not even on your user page.
Do not use a valuable password to log in here. Just use something easy for you to remember.
Roger's suggestions:
- Share your email address in the Email field of your Wikigogy preferences. Wikigogoy users who do this can email each other via the Email this user link in the left sidebar toolbox on each others user page without exposing email addresses to spam bots.
- Share a collegial photo of yourself on your user page (here's how).
- Be your professional self -- your username can be your first name (if still available); you can put your full first name and last name into the Real name field of your Wikigogy preferences.
[edit] History
2006, in March Roger launched Wikigogy.org with MediaWiki software for TEFL/TESL collaboration and networking.
[edit] Technical
